Mentor Ridge Resident Gets Inducted into Mentor High School Hall of Fame

It is with great honor and inspiration that we introduce Joe, one of our beloved residents. For over three decades, he has been an unwavering pillar of support for Mentor High School's football team, attending games and helping in any way that he can. His dedication and passion have led to a remarkable honor – an induction into the Mentor High School Hall of Fame. Join us in celebrating a story that embodies the true spirit of community and sportsmanship!



With the big homecoming game coming up, Joe asked the Administrator at Mentor Ridge, David Granito, if there was any possibility of attending the game. We had a short window, but with the help of Joe Glavan, Jeff Cassella, and Bob Berwald at the high school, we were able to make it happen. Joe was so excited to attend the game and cheer on his team.

It was amazing to see all the fans and staff come up to Joe to say hi and talk about past games and memories. Even Fox 8 sports anchor, John Telich, stopped by and discussed their favorite games together. The weather was perfect, Mentor won the game, and Joe couldn't help but feel extremely lucky and special to have been there. Sitting in the middle of the field at the end of the game, Joe turned and said to David, "I feel truly blessed to be able to come tonight."
